A Renaissance in Paris 🇫🇷

There was something profoundly poetic about standing beneath the Eiffel Tower and walking through the Arc de Triomphe.

For years, I studied the Renaissance movement in school. The French Renaissance, the Harlem Renaissance, moments in history when people dared to reimagine what was possible through art, culture, knowledge, and human potential. Today, I feel incredibly grateful to witness another chapter unfolding: the African Renaissance, where innovation, creativity, and identity continue to reshape our future.

Being in Paris felt like a full-circle moment. Not simply because I had finally visited one of the world's most romanticized cities, but because it reminded me why I named this platform The Renaissance Woman in the first place. To me, a renaissance is more than a historical period. It is a personal rebirth. A decision to keep evolving, to remain curious, to embrace every layer of who God created you to be, and to never stop becoming. Standing beneath the Arc de Triomphe reminded me that every triumph is preceded by perseverance. Looking up at the Eiffel Tower reminded me that the greatest visions begin one piece at a time, built patiently until they become something the world cannot ignore. Perhaps what made this trip even more meaningful was experiencing it for the first time alongside my parents and siblings. Some moments are made even richer when they're shared with the people who first taught you what home feels like.

I left Paris with more than beautiful photographs. I left with a deeper appreciation for the journey of becoming and an even greater excitement for everything still waiting to be explored.

As you continue your own journey, I hope you remember this: becoming isn't about arriving all at once. It's about embracing each season with courage, trusting that every step is shaping the person you're meant to become. Your renaissance is unfolding, even if you can't see the full picture yet.

Here's to many more renaissances. 🥂
